about
Hi, I'm Katerina (She/Her), and I am glad you found your way here.
Choosing a counsellor is a deeply personal decision, and I believe finding someone you feel comfortable with, understood by and safe with truly matters. My hope is that this space feels like an invitation to slow down, be yourself and explore whatever you may be carrying.
It is a genuine privilege to sit alongside people as they move through moments in life that feel overwhelming, uncertain, or difficult to make sense of. Being trusted with someone’s story, their experiences, emotions, and the things they may have carried quietly for a long time, is something I hold with deep respect and care.
My interest in counselling has always come from a genuine curiosity about people. I have always been fascinated by the experiences that shape us, the stories we hold, and the ways we learn to move through life.
As the daughter of Greek immigrants, growing up between two cultures, I carried the quiet tension of wanting to belong while also staying connected to the traditions and values of my cultural heritage. There was pressure to achieve and honour the sacrifices that came before me. My worth was often measured through hard work, resilience, and staying strong, while emotions and struggles were not things openly shared.
Those experiences shaped the way I came to understand people and the importance of having a space where emotions can be welcomed, explored and truly heard. I learnt that the things we carry quietly whether expectations, worry, grief or the pressure to always be strong deserve to be seen with compassion rather than judgement.
Today, that journey shapes the way I show up as a counsellor. I offer a space grounded in warmth, empathy, and compassion, where you can come exactly as you are, without judgement. Together, we can make sense of your experiences, reconnect with your values, and explore your story at a pace that feels right for you.
I support clients navigating grief and loss, anxiety, stress, life transitions, and those times when they feel disconnected from themselves. I draw from approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused Therapy, tailoring our work to your unique needs and experiences.
Thank you for being here. Reaching out for support takes courage, and I would be honoured to sit alongside you and hear your story.
